Do I Need to Invest In a Pool Cover?
Pool covers can be good for different environments or for safety purposes. If the use of a pool cover is just to keep the pool clean, it would be better to consider the in floor cleaning system as your alternative, or use both. The majority of pool covers catch large debris but allow the fine debris to collect inside of your pool. This trapped debris can eventually lead to algae issues. We always recommend that when making an investment in your pool to look at every option to see what fits you the best.

What Is the Difference Between a Heat Pump and a Heater?
A heat pump heats up a little bit slower than a pool heater and needs a warmer air temperature to be effective. A heat pump will generally give your pool a 10-15 degree boost, allowing you to swim earlier in the season and longer into the fall. Some models also have a chiller option to help cool down your pool if it ever gets too warm. Pool heat pumps generally have a low operation cost, even if you leave them running for 1-2 months at a time.
Pool heaters use natural gas and work no matter what the outdoor temperature is. However, natural gas does cost a lot more to use so the operating cost is higher on a pool heater than a heat pump. However, a natural gas pool heater helps heat your pool or spa a lot quicker than an electrical heat pump, allowing you to reap the benefits of your pool a lot faster.
Is There an Option That Regulates Pool Temperature?
Liquid Concept Pools offers a Heat Pump and Pool Chiller combination. This appliance allows you to regulate the temperature of your pool rather than just heating it. While this appliance does take longer to completely heat your pool this isn’t what the primary design was for. This appliance allows you to keep the water cooler in the summer when the temperatures are reaching the northern 100’s and keep the chill at bay during the fall months.
